We extend a friendly welcome to all who visit this site. We believe we have something to contribute to the exciting world wide web, with its thousands of eager surfers. I, myself am one of those, and am constantly finding "treasures" in varied forms, usually writings and information that we did not have access to previously.

Our purpose is to present a number of local history pages and other points of view that people may find interesting, helpful and inspiring. Some may view the site as being a window into our heritage, those brave pioneers who came from afar, who labored and paved the way for future generations.
